Fishing
Loch Awe is one of Argyll’s most popular Lochs for angling and has a great deal to offer both game and coarse fishermen, seasoned or novice. The loch is 26 miles long, up to 1 mile wide and up to 300ft deep – and offers a rich natural feeding area. It is famous for its huge ferox (brown) trout - but rainbow trout, sea trout, salmon, perch, pike, arctic char and eels can also be caught.
If you’re not bringing your own boat, we can help you to secure something suitable. We can also help you obtain the necessary equipment and permits, and arrange a professional guide or fishing lessons.
