What’s it really like to stay at our luxury Highlands hotel? Get some insight from some of our previous guests.
When all is said and done at Ardanaiseig, it’s the memories that our guests take home with them that really matters to us.
Here’s a glimpse at some of the comments left about us on TripAdvisor.
This is now our third trip to the Ardanaiseig hotel only this time we were here to get married. The first trip (June 2012) was part of a wedding shortlist – it turned out to be an extremely short list as we fell in love with the place and, as a result, didn’t bother with any others. The second trip was at the end of March 2013, the already stunning scenery now covered in snow. The warm welcome from the General Manager Marcel Wassen and the roaring log fire was just what the weary traveller needed. The intention of the last visit was to iron out a few creases as not everything can be accomplished by e-mail.
The hotel is renowned for its fine dining but with a number of fussy eaters in our party we were concerned. We needn’t have worried as we sat down with Kari (the hotel wedding coordinator) and the Sous Chef who were most accommodating to our subtle menu changes. We wanted an intimate wedding being a small family (14 in to total) and every single member fell in love with both the accommodation and venue. The attention to detail by the house-keeping team was second to none. It would seem that the rooms are tended whilst having breakfast, and turned down each evening without ever intruding on your personal space.
On the day itself the gentlemen were herded off clay pigeon shooting, leaving Kari and the restaurant team to co-ordinate what must have been a logistical nightmare! However, Kari and the team performed this task effortlessly. Overall the hotel was very accommodating in all aspects of our wedding plans. The bride was very exacting as to the table layout; and even did some of the flower arrangements herself – which Kari helped keep chilled in the hotel cellar. Everything was co-ordinated by Kari leaving the bride with absolutely no concerns. The restaurant team, headed by Roman were so attentive yet un-intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble. We’re already planning another visit in the near future.

Thanks to you and all the staff at the Ardanaiseig for making our wedding so special. Everything worked out just perfectly. We had a great time and so did our guests. We look forward to being your guests again (and so do our families and friends!).

My wife says I have an in-built attraction for service mishaps! However, the Ardanaiseig Hotel in Scotland stands out as my best customer service experience. We had forgotten to tell them that I didn't eat meat and a single set-menu menu is provided for all guests. I advised the waiter and he spoke to the chef who conjured up a fantastic three-course meal for me. The following day we arrived for dinner and I had my own personalised menu - fantastic service! I am having a thrilling time here in Scotland. Whether you're shooting clay pigeons or having a walk in the dense, gloomy forest, the fun factor is still 10/10! The hotel is stunning! The food delicious! The forest is beautiful! What’s not to like?
My Daughter said this must be the most beautiful place on Earth and I heartily agree with her. Peace, tranquillity, wonderful interesting walks in magnificent grounds and the food an indulgence no one should miss out on. We hope to come back with the family very soon.
